Holy Cow, They’re not Kidding

The inner circle at the White House, Bush, Cheney, Gonzalez, Conde, Rumsfeld and a host of other political lapdogs that make up their inner circle are no more patriotic Americans than Al-Queda’s inner circle. This is not a purely rhetorical analogy because the actions of both groups indicate that they are bent on destroying America.

By their public defense of wholly absurd deal to sell six major US seaports to the state owned Dubai company DB Ports, The Department of Homeland Security is now taking orders from Karen Hughes White Office of Public Information, read Ministry of Propaganda. Their spokespeople fanned out today to defend and blatantly promote the sale in the media; NPR radio show host Dianne Rheem among many others had a DHS cheerleader on their shows today.

Actions like this beg the question; whose policies threaten America’s security more directly or imminently George Bush’s or Al-Queda’s?

So absurd is the White Houses assertion that it is OK to sell strategic assets to a foreign government designated officially as a state sponsor of terrorism that it is virtually impossible to find a single right wing pundit, even the thickest headed variety that will defend this action. One among that group Cal Thomas reminds us of the following regarding another of Bush’s anti-patriotic sell off America deals;

Last year, Congress overwhelmingly recommended against the Bush administration granting permission to a Chinese company to purchase the U.S. oil services company UNOCAL. Six years ago, when a Chinese company took control of the Panama Canal from the United States, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Thomas H. Moorer warned of a ``nuclear Pearl Harbor.''

How about a real nuclear “Pearl Harbor” at the “Pearl Harbor” of the Atlantic Fleet, Norfolk Virginia George?

Selling off critical economic and militarily strategic real estate such as every major east coast port to a foreign power officially listed by the DHS as a state sponsor of terrorism while we are supposedly engaged in a “global wart on terror” would be like selling Boeing to Austria while we where at war with the Nazi’s that occupied their country.

Can anything possibly be more absurd?

The DHS is running around saying the sale is not s a security risk to sell US port operations to a state sponsor of terrorism, with straight face no less! And these people call themselves patriots? How is this possible? These guys simply can’t be serious about security with ideas like this.

Even better George Bush wants us to think it is OK because he only knew about the deal after his administration approved it. Whose administration is it? Wouldn’t you think the CEO of GM would want to know that his minions decided to sell Cadillac to Toyota, before they announced it to the media? Not this White House.

Once again Bush expects us to think it’s OK that the idiocy of his administration can be explained away or somehow justified in that it was “someone else” in his administrations idea. And that he should not be responsible for the idea and that is somehow an acceptable justification.

Who’s running this place [The White House]? Apparently George W. Bush isn’t. Plus he thinks we should be OK with that. How dumb does he think the American people are?

Apparently given that that the only people that support his worse than hair brained DP Ports deal are his west wing hacks. Not Congress, neither the left nor right side of the aisle, not a single conservative pundit. Not anyone, save Rush Limbaugh. But who with half their brain tied behind their backs thinks what Rush says matters anymore?

So one must conclude that this it White House is populated by the dumbest greediest morons in the nation or conclude, holy cow, they’re not kidding are they? Eee, gads, they’re not are they?
